General Information

Menu Selections

The Imperial Room at One Rhodes Place offers a large selection of menus appropriate for all types of special occasions. All catering is done in-house, and is under the direction of our Executive Chef, Christopher Kurtzo. Chef Kurtzo is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, and has earned degrees in both the Culinary Arts and Food & Beverage Management.

All menu selections should be submitted at least one month prior to the event date. The Imperial Room at One Rhodes Place can usually accommodate most dietary restrictions and menu requirements.

Guarantees

A final count of the number of persons attending the event will be required ten (10) days prior to the function date. The Customer will be charged for the guaranteed number of guests or the actual number of guests that were served (greater number prevails).

Catering Prices

Prices will be confirmed ninety (90) days prior to the function date. All reservations booked are tentative until the responsible party signs the proposal and remits the required deposit. Rental charges and deposit fees apply to all functions, and vary based on the type of event that is being held.

Beverages

All beverages must be purchased at The Imperial Room at One Rhodes Place. We reserve the right to limit and control the amount of alcoholic beverages consumed by any guest. Guests must be 21 years of age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. Proper identification is required. Guests under the age of 21 years will not be permitted to sit at the bar. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the premises at any time.

Audio / Visual Aids

The Room Rental Fee includes the use of a 6’ diagonal projector screen and a microphone / podium (lectern) if required. Additional Audio / Visual Aids may be rented with advance notice (10 business days) to ensure availability. The Customer may provide their own Audio / Visual Aids for events.

The Imperial Room at One Rhodes Place is not responsible for equipment malfunction.

Decorations

Centerpieces that have candles that are not enclosed will not be permitted. Glitter, rose petals, confetti (of any size), and hanging wall and ceiling decorations will not be permitted. If glitter, rose petals, or confetti is used without The Imperial Room’s consent, a $150.00 cleaning fee will be charged.

Service Charge & Taxes

A taxable Service Charge of 20% will be added to all food and beverage items. All prices quoted, unless otherwise specified, are subject to 7% Rhode Island State Sales Tax, & 1% Local Food & Beverage Sales Tax. If an organization is tax-exempt, a copy of the exemption certificate must be received in advance of the event. Tax identification numbers will not be accepted.

Payments

A deposit (amount to be specified at the time of booking) is necessary for all functions. Full payment of an estimated bill for functions of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or greater must be paid three (3) business days in advance of the function by cash, bank check, certified check, or money order except in cases where credit arrangements have been previously approved.
